For over 18 years I’ve been obsessed with leadership and it’s impact on small business, and perhaps more importantly, the happiness of its people. My obsession began when I started my career as a 20 year old in a negative and unsupportive environment. I’d go home crying nearly every night. Through sharing this, I discovered, I wasn’t the only one unhappy at work. An opportunity presented itself to take over the business and with a brand new team, we turned the business around significantly, going on to achieve number one globally for our brand.
That was over 18 years ago and as a result, have devoted my career to discovering what it takes to run a sustainable and profitable business with happy and empowered employees. I am now an author, coach and trainer on how to be an effective leader in small business, to reduce staff turnover and increase productivity and profit in small business!
